“I hope your flowers bloom.”

I had an amazing summer working at the Cleveland Botanical Garden in their Bloom! program. I learned so much about different plants and flowers from one of the horticulturalists, Rob Dzuric. He showed me step-by-step how to select plants that would work well together and how to map out the garden when planting. My goal was to create a garden with vibrant plants that had different textures and shapes to give it movement. The plants that I ultimately picked were 'Campfire' and 'Wasabi' Coleus, 'Victoria Blue' Salvias, and 'Maverick Pink' Geraniums. It was a lot of fun planting them, and we ended up using around 1,400 plants for the rose garden just off the terrace.

In addition to this, I also had my solo art exhibition called "In Bloom" in the Geis Terrace Allee. The exhibition opened in May and will run until September 4th. If you're interested, please check it out! You can also find interviews, photos, and articles related to In Bloom! below.
